Application of Serial Communication Between VB and Microcontroller in SphereClimbing Robot Control

The development of sphereclimbing robot control technology is instant requirement to improve Chinese robot pivotal technology.Shanghai University has developed a kind of robot, whose control system consists of a master-slave computer system based on the serial communication between VB and microcontroller. The serial communication is implemented in robot control by theory analyzing , making appropriate protocol and plenty of experiment. The experiment result shows that the serial communication between VB and microcontroller is the key to the accomplishment of robot control system.The design and implement of serial communication program are described in detail.
