The design of global motion perception testing method

Objective To design global motion perception(MP) testing method and to study the characteristics of motion perception in normal subjects. Methods The software of random dots motion testing was designed . MP from 20 cases(40 eyes)normal subjects were tested by moving random dots stimulus displayed on the noise-background and used to measure the motion threshold. Result There were no relationships between either MP and sex or MP and eye sides difference. MP from old and young groups were 4.47±0.40, 4.85±0.16 respectively and there was significant difference between them. Conclusion The global motion perception testing method is designed and might be helpful for further clinical using.
