Research and Application of Intelligent Input of Engineering Drawing

Considering the fact that slow manual entry of information often bothers the project budget while developing the steel calculation software for a power design institute,a method to extract component information out of CAD drawing for the data auto-entry was proposed to accomplish intelligent input of engineering drawing information in the text form through classifying the character string on drawings,and making a corresponding rules and an automatic data input method.The application in practice proves high speed and reliability of this method in budget data entry.
