Extension of Finite Length Signals for Wavelet Sub-band Coding System

The relationships between extension of finite length signals and the number of the output data from an orthogonal compact support wavelet filter bank are studied. The method of extending finite length signals for filters with different lengths in a filter bank is given and the range of signals perfectly reconstructed is computer. The condition that the number of the output data from a orthogonal compact support wavelet filter bank equals the length of the input signal is given and proved.
