Standardized cataloguing process and implementation mechanism of data directory in E-government

The significance and function of data directory in E-government were elaborated.Through the exploration and summary to the data directory cataloguing practice based on the natural resources and geo-spatial foundation information database project,the target and a train of thought of data directory cataloguing were overviewed,the content source,cataloguing process and specific application of data directory were detailed.At the end,the implementation mechanism of the Web user-oriented data directory service system was described.
