Resistance Analysis of Stem-rust Resistance Genes to New Virulent Pathogen Ug99 in Common Wheat

Wheat stem rust is one of the most important diseases throughout the world,and its epidemic can decrease the wheat yield greatly.In this paper,the specialty of the new virulent pathogen Ug99 was introduced,and the resistance characters of the former named stem rust resistance genes in wheat were analyzed and also the application value of these genes in wheat resistant breeding.At the same time,according to the actual state of wheat resistant breeding,some useful strategies to control and reduce the impact on wheat production by this new virulent race were proposed.
