A New Image Filtering Algorithm for Impulse Noise

Aiming at the shortcoming of traditional median filter in denoising image,a new image denoising method is proposed which is composed of three steps. The three steps include noise detection,noise filtering and gray values renewing of wrong-checked pixel.The proposed algorithm is proved to be effective in denoising and edge preserving for the different noise image.The PSNR is improved about 16 dB comparing with the traditional median filtering when the noise rate achieves 80%.
