An Algorithm of Iris Localization Based on Mathematical Morphology

Aiming at the limit of location algorithm , a method of the iris localization based on the Mathematical Morphology is proposed .A morphological method for the binary images is used to extract the center of pupil and estimate its radius. The method of edge detection based on Mathematical Morphology and Hough transform is used to locate the outer edge of the iris. The experimental results show that our algorithm is rational and feasible.
