Development of communication manager with embedded operation system Linux Based on AT91RM9200

The communication network and the diversity of communication protocols within the substation had caused the problem of how to achieve interoperability.Communication manager installations in the past always had a specific automation system and the communication protocol was single so that it was difficult to communicate with the other manufacturers' smart devices;thus making the integration process of the automation of the system become more difficult.In this paper,based on the AT91RM9200 processor and embedded real-time Linux operating system,a new substation communication manager which adopted modular design concept,had been put forward.It increased freedom which on-site chose equipments,but also maximized the retention of the existing resources and reduced the difficulty of the automation integration process of the system.
