Simulation-based Study on TCP Flow Control Mechanisms

some important flow control mechanisms of TCP protocol are introduced,such as Slow Start,Congestion Avoidance,Fast Retransmit and Fast Recovery.By simulating various Tcp flavors,We get to knowing the different performance in different conditions and directly demonstrate positive and negative effect.Finally,a simulation for amended SACK with increasing Initial Window Size has been run with OPNET in order to validate the foregoing estimated result.
