Aiming at requirements of high reliability and low power consumption for wireless sensor networks in industrial monitoring,a dynamic slot assignment(DSA) adaptive MAC protocol called DSA-MAC protocol is proposed based on TDMA protocol, and the slot length is adjusted dynamically by link quality estimation in order to improve reliability of data transmission. An adaptive power adjustment mechanism based on receiving signal strength indication(RSSI) is added in protocol to realize low power consumption requirements of the network. The DSA-MAC protocol is implemented on the CC2530 hardware platform, and is tested in the industrial field. The result shows that the protocol improves data transmission rate, and reduces energy consumption of networks, and can adapt to industrial environment application needs.
