The Progress and Direction of Spatio-temporal Data Model

As a difficult problem in theory and technique of GIS,temporal GIS gets more and more attention,and the study emphasizes on the design and implementation of spatio-temporal data model.Based on analyzing Gail Langran's spatio-temporal data models,this paper mainly discusses the new progress of spatio-temporal data model.Finally,aiming at some existed issues of spatio-temporal data model,the corresponding suggestion has been put forward from semantic viewpoint,general viewpoint and practical viewpoint.
