Comprehensive State Evaluation of Large Steam Turbines Based on Relative Inferiority Degree Models
Huang Zhu-qing · Journal of Power Engineering · 2006
Since the state of operational performance of large steam turbine's proper has a direct influence on the safety and economy of power plants,it is quite necessary to monitor and evaluate comprehensively it state of operation in order to overcome the imperfections and insufficiencies of conventional ways of evaluating mechanical states. The concept of relative degree of inferiority is introduced and a model for comprehensive state evaluation of steam turbines proper elaborated, together with the corresponding evaluation system,by using operation data, condition monitoring data, and operational statistical data further by fusing multi-source information, such as vibration signals of the turbine proper, operation parameters of the rotor string, thermal efficiency of the flow pass etc.A comprehensive state evaluation system has herewith been developed for the domestic manufactured 300 MW steam turbine proper.Research results show that this method is reasonable and effective, and evaluation results may be used as a scientific basis for making decisions concerning maintenance work.Figs 2,table 1 and refs 6.
