In the article, it presents the overview of the defining process for the concept of seed activity, expounds the research overview of seed activity at home and abroad and the research status of maize seed activity determining methods, introduces the theory,advantages and disadvantages of general determining methods for maize seed activity, provides a theoretical reference for scientifically,accurately determining the activity of maize seed.
