THE DETECTION OF TORSIONAL OSCILLATION BASED ON THE BI-ORTHOGONAL WAVELET AND COMPLEX WAVELET

A new scheme for torsional oscillation quantity extraction is proposed in this paper, which is effective in torsional oscillation detection and warning. By this scheme the bi orthogonal WT and the complex WT are used to filter high order harmonics and extract the fundamental frequency respectively, so the oscillation signal whose frequency is lower than the fundamental is left. Because the Mallat algorithm and the recursive computation method are used here, the algorithm presented in this article is fast to perform and can be applied to real time applications.
