Research and Simulation of MAC Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks

Medium access control(MAC)protocol is an important part in wireless sensor networks(WSNs).The performance of the whole network and the efficiency of the wireless channels utilization mostly lie on the performance of MAC protoco1.The working principle of CSMA protocol is introduced, and an improved method is put forward on the basis of P-persistant CSMA protocol. Simulation and analysis indicate that, the performance of improved protocol is markedly optimized in the network with not so many nodes.
