An elliptic curve authenticated key agreement (ECAKA) protocol with pre-shared password, based on the elliptic curve Diffie-Hellman algorithm, was proposed, in which the security relied on the elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem (ECDLP). The protocol can provide identity authentication, key validation, perfect forward secrecy, and foil man-in-the-middle attacks.
