Refined Evaluation Method of TCP Performance in Mobile Network

Nowadays,the total number of data transmission traffic turns to be larger,so how to evaluate the TCP performance in mobile networks becomes one of the key points in network study. In this paper,a refined evaluation method on TCP performance in mobile networks is presented. The new method covers the statistics of connection and retransmission packet data,it also evaluates the TCP performance in its typical three stages with smaller time granularity. The process of this evaluation method is illustrated in the following parts. The method is tested in EV-DO testbed,and the results show that the proposed method makes it possible to obtain more accurate analysis results than traditional methods at the cost of memory usage.
