Theory of macro-structures and its application

The paper briefly introduced the basic components and the main concepts of the theory of macro-structures.The operation and application of the macro rules were illustrated.Crossing boundaries of the domain of grammars and linguistic theory in general,the theory of macro-structures extends to a more comprehensive study of discourse in cognitive psychology,logics and some other social sciences.It offers a more dynamic and practical approach to observing,analyzing and describing discourse structures.
