Key management in wireless sensor networks is currently focusing largely on the planar topology. With the everwidening scale of wireless sensor networks, hierarchical topology is becoming dominant.Therefor, this paper proposes a multi-key space q-composite key predistribution scheme for hierarchical wireless sensor networks. The performance analyses on secure connection between nodes and nodes resisting captured probability show that this scheme can increase the threshold of captured nodes, which is better resilient against attack, and improve the security of network.
