This paper illustrates the state of informationization development of Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company. On the basis of analyzing the problems in development, utilizing basic theories of population data and information resource plans, we propose an overall project for company informationization development. A series of strategies are also put forward, such as construction principle, organization, data resource construction, information system development. In addition, the study mentions that the modern information network is the major project of the development. And some important points should be regarded in the construction.
