An Improved Speckle Reduction Algorithm of SAR Image Based on Data Fusion

The speckle noises in SAR images greatly weaken image readability and are disadvantageous to image understanding and information extraction.This paper proposes an algorithm of speckle reduction in SAR images according to advantages of mean filter and wavelet soft-thresholding denoise algorithms.Firstly,the speckle noise of SAR image is reduced by using the mean filter and the wavelet soft-thresholding algorithms respectively.Then the two images are fused in the wavelet transform domain.Experimental results show that the improved algorithm is efficient.
