Zhuzi Yulei,containing a total of 140 volumes,is the compilation of speech by Zhuxi and their students when they study and talk about scholarship.Zhuzi Yulei has distinctive features in complex sentences,which have large quantities with multiple types;the connectives are diverse with fixed patterns;the complex sentences with multi-hierarchical relationships are mature with sophisticated hierarchical relationships.So,Zhuzi Yulei is a significant corpus of value to the study on complex sentences in Modern Chinese.Making a comprehensive description and analysis about the complex sentences with associated connectives in Zhuzi Yulei from synchronic and diachronic perspectives can deepen the study on complex sentences in Modern Chinese,and accordingly can promote the construction work of the developing history of the complex sentences in Chinese.
