Application and Analysis of DDS Technology in the Shortwave Frequency Synthesizer

This paper describes a new and practical shortwave frequency synthesizer. The frequency synthesizer combines direct digital frequency synthesizer( DDS) technology with traditional phase-locked loop( PPL) technology effectively. It has advantages of high frequency conversion speed,high resolution,low phase noise and high reliability. This paper analyzes the working principle of DDS technology and the application in the shortwave frequency synthesizer. And it gives specific programs and implementation results.
