Objective To investigate the relationship of solar term with incidence, death in patients with acute hemorrhagic apoplexy. Methods The incidence solar term of 353 cases and the death solar term of 90 cases among them, who were with acute hemorrhagic apoplexy, were recorded and analyzed by circular statistical analysis. We calculated the peak phase of incidence and death and observed the characteristics of the solar terms of incidence and death. Results There was no definite concentration of solar term of incidence and death in all the 353 patients and 90 of them(P0.05).The incidence rate of acute hemorrhagic apoplexy was relatively lower in the solar term between Spring Equinox and Beginning of Summer and the death rate was relatively lower in the solar term between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. Conclusion There is no specific peak solar term concerning incidence and death of acute hemorrhagic apoplexy, which indicates that it is necessary to prevent positively incidence and death of acute hemorrhagic apoplexy in all of the four seasons, and that treatment and nursing should be strengthened in the solar term of relatively high incidence and death rate to decrease morbidity and mortality of acute hemorrhagic apoplexy.
