An Adaptive Step-size Closed-loop Power Control Based on SIR-measurement in CDMA Systems

The capacity of code division multiple access(CDMA) systems is limited by multiple-access interference,near-far effect and multipath fading effect.Power control is the most important requirement to improve the quality of communication and maximise the capacity.A conventional closed loop power control scheme is a fixed step-size close-loop power control.Its performance would be worse for the acute channel fading.An adaptive step-size close-loop power control is presented.The proposed scheme can fastly and exactly compensate the deep channel fading.
