Multi-class Support Vector Domain Classification and Its Application in Intrusion Detection

There are many traditional multi-class support vector machine methods with low precision used in the network security field.It presents a new intrusion detection method named MSVDC(multi-class support vector domain classification) after analyzing and studying with the network connection data.This method extends SVDC(support vector domain classification) to solve the multi-class problem.Experimental results carried out on KDD CUP1999 data set show that the proposed method performs better both in true positive rate and precision accuracy compared with traditional multi-class support vector machine based intrusion detection methods.
