The Design and Realization of Physical Isolation Controller

The Ethernet physical isolation system consists of the physical isolation controller and the user′s terminal.Based on MCF5271,the physical isolation controller is designed which can switch between the networks according to the user′s identity.MCF5271 can control eight pieces of KS8995 through FPGA and support eight-channel physical isolator.The design can be used as a researching platform because it has the advantages of no additive interference and supporting layer-3 network control after use of embedded Ethernet technology.The testing results show that the isolator can communicate with the user terminals steadily and switch between the networks.
