Antioxidation of Active Proteins from Dasyatis akajei Liver in vitro
Yang Shang-cai · Food Science · 2009
The active proteins from Dasyatis akajei fiver were isolated by precipitating with ammonium sulfate, chromatographing with Sephadex G-150.Then the activities of scavenging superoxide radical and hydroxyl radical and inhibiting lipid peroxidation were determined. The results showed that the isolated three protein peaks (P_1,P_2 and P_3) could effectively scavenge superoxide radical and hydroxyl radical and inhibit lipid peroxidation. The inhibiting ability of P_3 is the highest, while that of P_1 is the lowest. In conclusion, the active proteins from Dasyatis akajei liver have antioxidation.
