Experimental Analysis of the Causes for Mutation

This study analyses the function of S.E.Luria's fluctuation test and J.Lederberg's replica plating in proving the conclusion that mutation is spontaneous.In this article,the author depicts J.Cairns' experiment and the view of directed mutation.
