In route planning, researches of weather threat lie mainly on some single weather models, and most of which are about wind, for example: researches of the typhoon model and its threat area, researches of the influence of airflow across the mountains in the flight course and so on.In route planning, for the much weather threat, this paper proposes an algorithm of weather threat assessment based on Bayesian Networks. The inference model based on Bayesian Networks is discussed and Polytree Propagation has been used for route threat assessment.Simulation result shows that the algorithm is effective for weather assessment and is able to reflect the real threat level.
