Design and Implementation of Area Management Information System Based on GIS

This paper presents the techniques of GIS and applies it into the area management information system,it combines geography information with management imformation, provides a new management system for the area.The Liuyang River area management information system is an example. The paper illustrates the architecture and function module of the system and describes the main techniques in its realization.Geodatabase:a kind of new database structure is used in system design,and the technique application is discussed in detail.
