File Segmental Transmission Methods Based on TCP and Their Performance Analysis

This paper supplies some file-transmitting methods based on TCP in the network environment. When the file is too big, it must be segmented for transmission, and the client and the server should control the data stream through cooperation rather than through loop. It also provides its realization under the circumstances based on Delphi language. Meanwhile, it analyzes the functions and performances of the methods by practical tests. It concludes that the system will be in a better working condition when the buffer is set as 8 192 B in data sending and receiving.
