Technical characteristic of Lotus Notes in the development of office automation (OA) system is introduced briefly. Combined the development of an enterprise office automation system, the overall requirements, design proposal, and the realize of the system are elaborated, and some solutions to technique question are given including, how to carries on the data exchange with the relational database, how to guarantee system security to the performance.
