The methods of calculating a object circularity in a digital image

The shortcomings of usual method of calculating object circularity is discussed, and then some kinds of definitions of the area and perimeter in a digital image are classified. The methods of calculating circularity are correspondingly classified and their feasibilities are demonstrated. Two kinds of effective methods of calculating object circularity are given and their characteristic and conditions in use are also given.
