Lightning Strike Risk Assessment on School Building and Electronic Equipment Based on the New National Standard

China implements GB/T 21714.2-2008 protection against lightning design standards of buildings from November 2008,which applies to the lightning risk assessment of buildings and service facilities.lightning strike risk assessment on school building was carried out based on the new national standard,to provide reference for the application and popularization of the new national standards.data collection and subarea on the teaching building were carried out,as well as the lightning risk assessment according to the evaluation process and method.The results of the assessment was obtained by comparing the obtained Lightning risk values with allowed risk value.Finally,protection against lightning recommendations on school building and its internal electonic equipment was proposed.The risk values of direct and indirect lightning strike to the school building are less than allowed risk value,therefore,the existing protective measures can basically meet the needs of school building.
