Strategy of source-location privacy preservation in WSNs based on phantom single-path routing

In wireless sensor networks(WSNs) used for target monitoring,an adversary can backtrack the source through traffic analysis or node compromising attack. To prevent these kinds of attackers,a source location privacy preservation strategy combined a hash chain based source anonymous mechanism and a phantom single-path routing protocol is proposed, which can protect the location privacy of the source from the aspects of message content and transmission path.Performance analysis shows that, compared with the existing phantom single-path routing protocols, the strategy can make the source anonymous and generate more geographically dispersed phantom nodes which are far from the source, and it can protect location privacy of the source effectively.
