Developing YMDBS database system using UML technology

This paper discusses the design and application issues in the process of building database system YMDBS by virture of UML techniques. With the help of a powerful CASE toolPowerDesigner, we demonstrate the key techniques involving database implementation from three aspects: object oriented data modeling conceptual data modeling, and physical data modeling. The database system is a key part of the national 863 project Multi-media Intelligence System for Maize Production.
