Direct Blind Detection for FIR-MIMO Channels with Common Zeros

A sufficient condition is given for the existence of FIR-MIMO equalizer in case that the sending signals belong to a finite alphabet and that the row number is greater than the column number of the channel convolution matrix, then a new way to transform the problem of the direct blind detection for a sequence signal into a quadratic programming problem is provided and a genetic algorithm is employed to solve the problem, finally a practical simulation is done. The simulation results indicate that the equalizer described in this paper could correctly recover the sending signals correctly for the FIR-MIMO channels with common zeros;and no matter the FIR-MIMO channels have or have not common zeros, the blind multiuser detection algorithm proposed in this paper is superior to subspace algorithm in performance.
