A Mode of Linear Primitive Organization in Line Extraction of SAR Image

Gangyao Kuang · Jisuanji fangzhen · 2005

For extraction of straight line in SAR images, line primitive's organization is an important approach. From the characteristic in SAR edge images, the line primitive can be viewed as some continuum pixels whose orientation are only horizontal or vertical. The algorithm is that: in the first, extracting linear primitive, then extracting linear structure, then organizing the linear structure into straight segment, in the end extracting line. Linear primitive is viewed as the grouping of the two 4-neighbours pixels or isolated pixel, and then group the linear primitives into some long or shor line segments according to the orientation (horizontal or vertical). Extraction of linear segment uses an algorithm for searching in eight-neighbour field, which searches horizontal(vertical) orientation earlier and others later。It makes use of the connection of the linear primitives, and uses algorithm of MLS to imitate line.
