Application and Realization of Campus Network Logs Compression Based on LZW Algorithm

Aiming at the problem of large amount log data and inadequate storage space in campus network gateway,the paper develops a LZW lossless compression algorithm to automatically compress Campus network log,which resolves the need of long-term backup.Based on the compressed files,it develops a network monitoring tool,which can quickly retrieve and analyze the required information.
