A study and application on data migration for information system

Aim To research the methods and techniques of automatic data migration when data structures or data in an information system are changed.Methods A new method which is independent of the data base management in data recovery is proposed,and a universal format to export the data is designed as well.Results The existing data can be reserved while the data structure is being modified for the developing or testing information system,and the data structure and data can be migrated automatically for the mature information system.Conclusion The methods proposed are effective and feasible.
