Adaptive latency change estimation of evoked potentials under α-stable noise conditions

The noises in EP signals are often assumed to be Gaussian distributed.Hovever,they are found with characteristics far from Gauss ian in some studies.Based on the fractional lower order moment theory,this paper analyzes the degeneration of the DLMS algorithm,summarizes a class of robust al gorithms under both Gaussian and lower order α-stable noise conditions,such as the DLMP,SDA and VSDA,and figures out some remained problems to be studied in t he future.
