Image mosaics based on AOI system

In order to overcome the disadvantages of large computation and poor matching efficiency in image stitching,a fast image stitching algorithm based on simple affine transformation was proposed.According to the invariability of translation,rotation and affine transformation of image in the scale space,matching of characteristic points in overlapping areas and determination of the transformation between the images can be done rapidly by using the high accuracy step-motor for targets location of matching points.The simulation experiment shows that the new algorithm is simple,fast,accurate and of high performance in noise robust.
