This study explored the reliability of HSK advanced test, test structure, combination of test scores, improvement of pretest mode and other problems by multivariate generalizability theory. The results show:(1) the reliability is good for both the whole test and each part of it,and it is reasonable to combine the three part universe scores into a composite universe score in this test;(2) the ratio of each part of the contents of this test is appropriate and the test structure is reasonable;(3) the reliability is acceptable in the context of decreasing the number of items properly,so it is possible to accomplish the pretest in the real examination.
