A Method for Forecasting Wind Speed by LIBSVM

As wind speed is random and fluctuant,to improve the accuracy of wind speed forecasts,a forecasting model based on the support vector machine(SVM) was developed.The best parameters of the LIBSVM regression are selected by cross validation method.The obtained results show that the method is feasible in wind speed actual forecasting.
