An improved efficient anonymous authentication protocol with key agreement was proposed to overcome large communication overhead and high computational complexity of Li-Lee's protocol.By maintaining security attributes of the original protocol, the session key establishment mechanism between the home agent and the foreign agent was redesigned in the improved protocol.Furthermore, session key update function was supported by the improved protocol. The performance analysis shows that, compared with the Li-Lee's protocol, the improved protocol has advantages of low communication cost and computational complexity, and it is more applicable for wireless communications.
