Design and Implementation of Random Error Code Insertion in Digital Channel Emulator

Random error code insertion is one of the key technologies in digital channel emulator design.This paper presented a method for designing a high accuracy random error code insertion suitable for digital channel emulator.The proposed solution is based on the combined use of the linear congruence generator(LCG) and the central limit theorem.The resulting architecture provides a high accuracy random error code insertion with low complexity architecture for a digital implementation in FPGA and ARM.The performance was studied by means of MATLAB simulations and test data.
