Gateway discovery scheme to support video streaming QoS in interconnection of MANET and Internet

This paper presents a traditional schemes based gateway discovery scheme to route packets not by IP but by the stream and establish an access control mechanism by comparing the current network status with the quality of service(QoS) requirement of a video stream requesting for access.The gateway discovery scheme supports video streaming applications with QoS control in the interconnection of mobile ad hoc network(MANET) and Internet.The relationship between the MANET scale and the total capacity was studied based on the MANET parametric modeling.Simulation results show that every stream having access can meet the QoS requirements by using the developed scheme and that the capacity can reach the theoretical maximum of the network capacity.
