The Application of GPS RTK in Mapping Control Survey

GPS RTK technique adopts carrier phase real-time kinematics differential technology for relative positioning.It has some advantages,such as high working efficiency,without accumulation of errors,high working automatic level,simple manipulation,strong capability in data processing and fewer personnel needed,etc.Therefore,it is widely applied in various industries.This paper mainly introduced the application of GPS RTK technique in mapping control survey of large-scale topographic surveying and mapping.Based on the comparison of working procedure,efficiency and accuracy between using GPS RTK technique and traditional control survey in practical example,it put forward the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods.
